We’re Excited to Have Added Two Important People on the Agenda

Dr. Elizabeth McCord
Dr. Elizabeth McCord is a dual-trained physician in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry, completing both her residency and Addiction Psychiatry fellowship at Emory University. She made history as the first Med-Psych resident to serve as Ambulatory Chief Resident at Emory’s Internal Medicine Program.
Now a faculty member in Emory’s Department of Psychiatry, Dr. McCord leads the Emory Addiction Consult Service and maintains outpatient practices in addiction medicine and general psychiatry. She also serves as a hospitalist on the Grady Med-Psych Unit. In addition to her work at Emory, Dr. McCord is adjunct faculty for the University of California Irvine’s Train New Trainers Program, where she mentors healthcare providers nationwide in addiction care.

Dr. Gregg Raduka
Dr. Raduka is the founder of Georgians for Responsible Marijuana Policy, where he now serves as Board Vice-President and chairs the Governmental Affairs Committee. For the past eight years, he has lobbied at the Georgia General Assembly, collaborating with Senate and House Committee Chairs on marijuana and hemp legislation.
With a lifelong career in substance abuse prevention and treatment, he holds a Ph.D. in Human Development from the University of Maryland and is an Internationally Certified Prevention Specialist.
GRMP’s Main Concerns to Share
1. Close the Delta-8 loophole – which leaves intoxicating hemp-derived products unregulated
2. Don’t have medical marijuana at 50% THC – ideally, it should stay at 5% to minimize negative outcomes
3. Don’t allow vaping of medical marijuana – no medical association supports vaping of medicine
